Important Notice: Life Orientation cannot be used for any of the calculations. You have to meet the individual subject admission requirements for the qualification. In addition, you also have to meet the minimum Admission Point Score (APS) scores using the method that applies to the qualification you are applying for.

Select Calculation Method:

Method 1: Best of six subjects

The APS is calculated using the percentage score for the 6 highest scoring subjects (excluding Life Orientation) and dividing by 10.

Method 2: Double Maths and Science plus English

Double the scores for Mathematics and Physical Sciences, add English and 4th subject, then divide by 10.

Method 3: Double Maths and Accounting

Double the scores for Mathematics and Accounting, add English and next 3 best subjects, then divide by 10.
