What Does a Transmission Overhead Line Erector Do?
As a Transmission Overhead Line Erector, your role is crucial to maintaining and expanding South Africa's electrical grid. You will be involved in the hands-on assembly, installation, adjustment, repair, and ongoing maintenance of overhead transmission and distribution lines. This includes work related to electrical substations, ensuring the seamless flow of power to homes and industries.
Key responsibilities in this demanding yet rewarding role include:
- Upholding Quality: Executing all tasks to high installation and maintenance standards, diligently following project specifications to minimise rework.
